Wrapping up Chinese New Year
Ms. Webb has wrapped up celebrating the Chinese New Year!  All grades got to learn more about the most important holiday on the Chinese calendar.  Festivities began on February 19th and culminated with the Lantern Festival on March 5th.  Kindergarten and 2nd grade made two different versions of lanterns to celebrate the festival that is the last day of the Chinese New Year. 1st grade synergized as a team to create the awesome Dragon (seen in the picture) that they then took on parade around the entire school! 3rd Grade learned about the Chinese character for, double happiness, as it is seen during these celebrations.  Last, but not least, 4th grade created their own scratch off paper to draw vases inspired by the ones seen during the Ming Dynasty! Whew! It was a lot of art and a lot of fun!  Last modified on
