Updated PSAT Times/Lunch Request Form

Posted by on in Greenwood High School News
Please remember Tuesday, October 25th, is the PSAT Day at GHS.  We have a few updated times as well as a lunch request form for that day below:

11:15:  Students without an extended time accommodation will begin to finish.  Students may leave the building to go home or they can go to the cafeteria to eat lunch.

Students with an extended time accommodation will finish between 12:00 pm and 12:40 pm.  When their classroom is finished, they can also leave or go to the cafeteria to eat lunch.

After Tuesday's PSAT (Oct. 25th), the cafeteria will have a sack lunch available (Italian sub sandwich, veggie, fruit and a milk).  Please complete this form if your student would like to have a sack lunch on Tuesday (Oct. 25th).  Please complete the form by Monday, Oct. 24th at noon to allow the cafeteria workers to be prepared.

1:00:  Buses will leave campus with any student remaining.

Thanks again for your help through this process! Continue reading

PSAT Day-Oct. 25th

Posted by on in Greenwood High School News
Good afternoon.  GHS will give the PSAT on Tuesday, October 25th.  This practice impacts each of the grades in the following way:

9th Grade:  All 9th grade students will take the digital PSAT on this day.  Students who have a school-issued laptop will need to bring this device, fully charged, on this day.  Students who do not have a school-issued laptop will be issued one for this test only.  There may not be extras, so students who have a school-issued laptop, must bring their device fully charged.

10th Grade:  All 10th Grade students will take the paper-and-pencil PSAT on this day.

11th Grade.  All 11th Grade students will take the paper-and-pencil PSAT on this day.

12th Grade:  Distance Learning/Senior Capstone/Visits to Various Community Employers-12th grade students do not report to GHS on this day.

We anticipate the following:

Students without extended time accommodations in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will finish around 11 am.  If these students have their own ride, they would be allowed to leave at that time.

Students in these grades with extended time accommodations will finish around 12 pm.   If these students have their own ride, they would be allowed to leave at that time.

Lunch/Buses:  Lunch will be served for students who would like to eat at school (but they are not required to) and buses will leave campus around 12:30 pm to bring any remaining students home.

Students receiving text-to-speech accomodations should bring their own headphones.  Also, students in the Quest Program will not be in attendance on this day.

It is very important that 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students be present and on time at 7:30 am on Tuesday, October 25th.  Further, 9th grade students should make sure their school-issued devices are fully charged as their PSAT is done electronically.   Continue reading

PSAT-Oct.

12th Grade:  Distance Learning/Senior Capstone/Visits to Various Community Employers-12th grade students do not report to GHS on this day.

A more precise timeline will come out after Fall Break, but we anticipate the following:

Students without extended time accommodations in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will finish around 11 am.  If these students have their own ride, they would be allowed to leave at that time.

Students in these grades with extended time accommodations will finish around 12 pm.   If these students have their own ride, they would be allowed to leave at that time.

Lunch/Buses:  Lunch will be served for students who would like to eat at school (but they are not required to) and buses will leave campus around 12:30 pm to bring any remaining students home.

Again, these times are approximate now and will be more precise after Fall Break.

It is very important that 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students be present and on time at 7:30 am on Tuesday, October 25th.  Further, 9th grade students should make sure their school-issued devices are fully charged as their PSAT is done electronically.
